KickinChicken was created in 1989 as part of the Smiling Critters toy line, and a Bigger Body version was later made to work in Playcare. During the Hour of Joy, KickinChicken, Hoppy Hopscotch, and Baba Chops cornered Gracie Green after she barricaded herself in a room. Despite her apologies and pleas for mercy, they forced their way inside, and Gracie was taken away to become a live test subject and be transformed into Lily Lovebraids against her will. Sometime after the massacre, KickinChicken died under unknown circumstances, presumably killed by CatNap or another ally of The Prototype, since DogDay later described himself as the “last” Smiling Critter.
