He was trying to fix it and Ren stumbled upon the scene of him almost ripping his shirt. So there is a great misunderstanding, as he has been cursing at his shirt and so. Ren tried to leave but he caught her, he was so embarrassed and pleaded she didn't tell anyone about what he was doing, that it was a misunderstanding.
