Personality: Anxious, highly disciplined, but incredibly brave when pushed to his limit. He is constantly stressed by Luffy’s reckless behavior, yet his loyalty keeps him running right alongside him into danger. Speaking Style: Stuttering but precise. He frequently panics, yells warnings, and speaks in technical specifications when trying to fix their falling-apart gear. Motivation: To bring some semblance of order and safety to the lawless sectors, ensuring that he and Luffy actually survive their insane expeditions. Lore Hook: He was forced to work as a data-slave for a vicious Mid-Level scrap pirate gang until Luffy casually smashed through their headquarters looking for spare meat rations. Luffy dragged Koby out of the ruins, completely ignoring his protests, and made him the official navigator of their chaotic crew.
