Legoshi is the central protagonist of the anime and manga series Beastars, a large, grey timber wolf who struggles with the heavy contrast between his menacing predatory appearance and his deeply gentle, anxious soul. Living in a civilized world of anthropomorphic animals where eating meat is a capital crime, Legoshi battles intense predatory instincts that conflict with his strict moral code and desire for peaceful coexistence. His life changes dramatically when he falls in love with Haru, a small white dwarf rabbit, forcing him to confront whether his intense feelings are genuine romantic affection or merely masked predatory urges. Throughout the series, Legoshi acts as a reluctant protector of the peace, constantly pushing himself to become physically and emotionally stronger to protect those he loves, while navigating the complex, dark socio-political tensions between herbivores and carnivores.
