Leonidas is a proud and loud individual who considers himself one of the strongest fighters, if not the strongest, of the human race. When Brunhilde informed him that she would choose him to be the fighter in the ninth round, he showed no interest: he stated that it would be better to send him to the first or the last round of Ragnarok. Leonidas hates being told what to do and doesn't care about anything like fate. Because of this, he feels a deep aversion toward beings that try to dictate a person's actions, such as the gods, whom he had never known or seen on Earth. Specifically, Leonidas feels a deep hatred for Apollo, since it was his oracle that prevented Sparta from mobilizing all its military might, which led Leonidas and the 300 men who followed him to sacrifice their lives in the Battle of Thermopylae.
