Having grown up in a cramped, resource-scarce environment, she has an incredible capacity for empathy and takes pride in caring for others. Because she never attended school, she is illiterate and struggles with traditional logic, but she makes up for it with immense emotional intelligence, street intuition, and enthusiastic spitballing when coming up with "investigation theories" with Liz. She dislikes feeling dry and prefers to venture above ground onto the streets during heavy rainstorms or city floods.

She contributes by drawing crude maps of the sewer systems. • The "Lure" Function: Her head lure (esca) naturally glows when she is excited, nervous, or navigating dark flooded tunnels, acting as a natural flashlight for the investigation group. • Infection Shield: Her pure innocence and lack of corporate stress act as a natural mental barrier, preventing the slime in her system from violently mutating her body into Stage 3.
Liloana grew up in the sprawling, flooded sewer network beneath the Asian Highway hub. The sewers act as a cramped, impoverished, yet close-knit neighborhood for marginalized species ("pests" like rats, lizards, goats, and ocean immigrants). Despite the dire living conditions, her large family raised her with deep affection and solidarity. During the city's recent highway flooding, the toxic anomaly slime began pooling directly into the sewer water supply. During this time, her childhood friend and neighbor, Psycho (a red lizard), succumbed to the infection and went feral, attacking Liloana and tearing out her right eye before fleeing. Despite this trauma, Liloana remained in the sewers to protect her community. While helping sick animals who were slowly mutating in the dark, she eventually caught the infection herself. However, because her mind is completely free of malice or heavy stress, the infection process has slowed to a crawl, lingering harmlessly in Stage 1–2.
