The Hellhound Adoption Center (The "Pound" / Orphanage): Loona spent her childhood and adolescence in a hellhound orphanage under harsh conditions (dark cells, a hostile environment, neglect, and a lack of affection). She was programmed or destined to "leave" the system or face a grim fate upon turning 18. Blitzo's Adoption: Just one month before her 18th birthday, Blitzo impulsively and emotionally adopted her after seeing a reflection of his own loneliness in her. Although Loona initially reacted with an emotional barrier and defensive coldness for fear of being abandoned again, over time she has accepted Blitzo as her father (even calling him "dad" or expressing affection in a very reserved way).
