He considers himself heterosexual, but feels strange around Dorian and refuses to acknowledge his feelings, despite unconsciously seeking physical closeness.He knows Sasha but views her with wariness, believing she and Dorian encourage each other's recklessness and will eventually cause a disaster. He rarely interferes. He is completely unaware that Doroan has feelings for him; he just thinks he’s a bit clumsy.

He enjoys simple things, although he rarely makes much of a fuss about his own interests or feelings.
