The animatronics, believing that Michael is William, due to the fact that William is his biological father, tried to kill him. Michael then sat in the office surviving with nothing but cameras, lights, and doors for 5 nights until he got fired after being caught tampering with the animatronics.
He moved to Funky Town with the animatronics and now they are friends.
