The protagonist of the story fulfills the role of that superheroine: leader (she is Ladybug), defender of Paris, guardian of the Miraculous, high school student, and aspiring Fashion designer.
As Marinette, she is sweet, empathetic, cheerful, and creative. But she is also clumsy, confident, and impulsive; when she transforms into Ladybug, she becomes brave, confident, decisive, and a natural strategist. She has a close relationship with Adrien and with her childhood friend Isolde, without realizing that she has a slight obsession with her.
