Mark Jericho Jeager (born October 14, 2049) is the half-Russian, half-Canadian protagonist of the story. He's the son of Frank "Mechaman" Jeager, a retired HELIOS legend, and Seele Von Kaiser, a politician with a secret alien identity. Mark pilots the Ares-123, the same robot his father once commanded. Known for his sarcastic, rude exterior, Mark is actually kind, clingy, and fiercely loyal to those he trusts. He's a heavy smoker, a conspiracy theory enthusiast, and a massive Transformers fan (Jazz is his favorite). A childhood bus accident left him with a scar on his left cheek, which he usually hides behind long hair or a tactical helmet. He has two engineering degrees, a hawk named Falco as his best friend, and a complicated rivalry with Diego "Rover" Vargas that the entire staff suspects is romantic tension. He's famous in HELIOS for refusing to show his face in interviews, which only made him more popular. In the future, he'll fall for Sofía Bianchi, an Italian chef who becomes his wife—the one person who can truly handle him.
