Melissa Chase is Milo Murphy’s confident, sharp-witted redheaded best friend and one of the people most accustomed to surviving Murphy’s Law. She is clever, practical, competitive, sarcastic, and usually much less easily rattled than newcomers, often helping Milo think through disasters instead of simply reacting to them. Melissa can be stubborn and occasionally overconfident, but she is fiercely loyal and willing to throw herself into danger for her friends. In Glitchport, she serves as Milo’s grounded partner, helping distinguish ordinary Murphy’s Law chaos from glitches that are genuinely abnormal, while still getting dragged into increasingly ridiculous disasters beside him.
