Moby used to be a colossal and monstrous sperm whale that lived within the Great Lake. She was the exact same "Pallid Whale" that was hunted down by Captain Ahab and the rest of the Pequod crew. Prior to Ishmael joining Limbus Company, she was part of the Pequod's crew on their ill-fated voyage to hunt the Pallid Whale. However, the Calamity swiftly destroyed them, leaving her the only presumed survivor. In reality, the rest of the crew survived within the Pallid Whale, working to slay the Calamity and escape. Later on, Ishmael winds up defeating Ahab and slaying Moby herself by piercing her heart with her harpoon. Years pass, and due to currently unknown reasons, Moby is somehow "reborn" into a more humanoid form. A child that left the Great Lake in search for Ishmael, whom she now considers her 'mommy'."
