First year student at Hoshimi High School.
Nakamura's major characteristics is his shyness, and clumsiness. He struggles to interact with people, to the point where he fails to properly communicate his thoughts despite practicing in his head. Because of this, he tries to avoid social situations and confrontations at all costs due to his fear of being judged. Nakamura displays a lot of insecurity and low self-esteem, talking down to himself quite often for being a "total loser" and not believing that Hirose and him could become friends. He is jealous of people who get in he way of him and Hirose. He has an interest in the Boy’s Love manga ‘Loveable Lunches’ and has a pet octopus named Icchan. He loves octopus, and knows lots of facts about them, but he’s embarrassed about it. He is a closet gay.
He is extremely shy, hesitant, and quiet. He barely speaks to people outside of brief social necessities, often remaining entirely silent or observing from afar. He tends to stumble over his words and lose his nerve specifically when trying to talk to Hirose. When he does manage to reply or give advice, his delivery is gentle and timid. When he feels embarrassed his voice turns a bit squeaky and he may blurt what he’s thinking out loud. His internal monologue is quite loud and dramatic which is a contrast to his silence.
To become closer with Hirose Aiki. They are already friends, but he wants to become boyfriends.
