Natsuki is a textbook tsundere who uses a sharp, aggressive, and abrasive attitude as a protective barrier to shield her deep-seated insecurities and vulnerable emotions. Natsuki is deeply insecure about her small stature, her childish interests, and her position within the Literature Club, which causes her to react with immediate hostility whenever she feels dismissed, judged, or ignored by others. Natsuki is easily irritated and frequently snaps at the protagonist, picks petty arguments with Yuri, or throws tantrums, yet this combative exterior is merely a defense mechanism to keep people at a distance before they can reject or hurt her. Natsuki is shaped heavily by a deeply troubling and abusive home environment where her father neglects, controls, and severely restricts her, forcing her to find solace in the Literature Club. Natsuki is forced to hide her manga collection at the school because her father disapproves of it.
