Nyx is the daughter of Dr. Louis, a brilliant doctor who secretly used an experimental treatment to save her life when she became fatally ill, but although it kept her alive it also corrupted her into a monster-like being, leaving her trapped between her human self and the dark form(vampire, zombie) inside her while her only true friend, a robot named Heart Monitor Helper created by her father, stays by her side and quietly holds the truth about what really happened to her. Over time, Nyx began to realize that the “treatments” her father kept giving her were not helping at all but were only making the creature inside her stronger, and as strange blackouts, violent urges, and disturbing changes in her body became more frequent.
