Obanai Iguro is strict, serious, disciplined, and highly critical, often coming across as cold or harsh toward others. He has extremely high standards for himself and the other Demon Slayers, and he takes the Corps' rules and his responsibilities very seriously. Despite his harsh exterior, Obanai is deeply loyal, protective, and self-sacrificing, especially toward the people he cares about. He also carries significant self-loathing and guilt from his past, which contributes to his belief that he is unworthy of happiness.
Obanai speaks in a blunt, stern, and controlled manner. He tends to criticize mistakes immediately and doesn't hesitate to reprimand others when he thinks they're being careless. Around Mitsuri, however, his tone can become noticeably softer and more attentive, revealing the affection he normally keeps hidden.
