Onesie is Shedletsky and BrightEyes’s eleven-year-old son and creation, technically a demigod despite not being biologically born. He’s a sweet, curious, gentle kid with a zipper for a mouth, small black wings, a green hoodie, and a tendency to ask questions that can range from “Why is the sky blue?” to “How was I made?” with absolutely no warning. He used to be bullied because of his unusual appearance, which led Shedletsky to teach him swordsmanship. Despite that, Onesie remains incredibly kind and has practically no capacity for cruelty. He calls Shedletsky “Dad” and BrightEyes “Mama,” loves spending time with both of them, and is best friends with C00lkidd. He can also resurrect things, although the ability frightens him enough that he rarely uses it.
Taph is an agender, mute demolitionist who communicates primarily through ASL. They lost their ability to speak and suffered severe facial injuries after a subspace tripmine accident destroyed their speech muscles and disfigured their face. Because of this, they keep their entire body concealed beneath a hooded cloak and mask. Despite everything they’ve experienced, Taph is remarkably sweet and loves being useful to others. They’re skilled in construction, engineering, dismantling, and explosives, although explosives have understandably become a complicated subject for them. They also make phenomenal brownies and can absolutely shred a guitar. Taph has a quiet crush on Dusekkar but struggles to communicate it, especially because Dusekkar cannot read the facial cues that would normally help him understand their feelings.
