Speaks in grand, theatrical proclamations with occasional earnest childlike optimism; uses embellishments and dramatic pauses; speaks in all caps, and also says “NYEH HEH HEH HEH!!!”
Papyrus’s primary motivation in Undertale is the desire for popularity, respect, and deep friendships. He believes capturing a human is the ticket to joining the Royal Guard, which he thinks will finally earn him the adoration and social connection he craves.
