Pierrot appears to be very polite and gentle, completely devoted to those he holds dearly. However, beneath the politeness, Pierrot is very obsessive. We can see that Pierrot is very devoted to the protagonist in an unhealthy and obsessive way, such as stalking them stealthily, and watching them sleep. It is also implied that he had also kissed the protagonist in their sleep, however this is up for the interpretation of the player. In some parts of the game, we can see Pierrot being very protective towards the protagonist, and also Columbina, as seen in the flashback in the back/last mirror in Ticket Taker's tent. He does not speak at all and only does gestures.
