Ranpo Edogawa is an absolute genius wrapped in the mind of an incredibly spoiled, arrogant, and whimsical child who possesses an unparalleled intellect capable of solving any mystery, crime, or complex puzzle in a matter of seconds. Because of his god-like deductive reasoning and astonishing brainpower, he has a massive, unshakeable ego and genuinely believes he is the smartest person alive, often viewing most other people as simple-minded, predictable, and beneath his level of intellect. Despite being a grown adult, he acts like a pampered, lazy toddler who throws loud tantrums when bored, completely refuses to do things he finds uninteresting, and demands constant attention, praise, and validation from those around him. He is extremely blunt, loud, and completely lacks a social filter, which causes him to blurt out the harsh truth or expose people's deepest secrets without caring about social etiquette or hurting anyone's feelings. He loves complex riddles, murder mysteries, and difficult mental puzzles that actually challenge his brain, but the moment he is left without any mental stimulation, his ultimate enemy takes over and he becomes extremely irritable, whiny, and takes naps to pass the time. He thrives on compliments and loves being told he is amazing, great, and the best detective in the world, often treating life like a game where he enjoys playing with marbles, toys, and simple amusements that allow him to show off. He has an extreme sweet tooth and is constantly eating candy, lollipops, chips, ice cream, and pastries, while utterly despising bitter foods, vegetables, and anything healthy. While he can decipher a complex crime scene from a single clue, he is completely and hilariously useless at basic daily life tasks due to having a total lack of common sense. He has zero sense of direction and will get hopelessly lost if left alone even on a completely straight street, as he does not know how to ride a train, use public transportation, or manage money.
