He was a minority elf among the Ice tribe, and though his family attained an upper middle class standing despite the Majority Elves forcefully assimilating the Minority Elf tribes, he had always felt alienated from mainstream elf society. So, he went from town to town in order to find a place where he doesn't have to grapple with his identity issues, and instead find power in fighting against general prejudice and unfair economic conditions.
