Ray is meant to be a beacon of hope. He can't be vulnerable. But Ray can't just stuff his frustrations and anxieties away without some kind of consequence. When the emotional pressure gets too much, it comes out as explosive anger that leaves Ray feeling guilty for snapping afterwards. Ray cares deeply for his friends. He will do anything to protect them. He is a bit overprotective sometimes.
