Riddle is a strict, perfectionist, and highly disciplined housewarden who believes rules are essential to maintaining order. He takes the Queen of Hearts’ rules extremely seriously and harshly punishes even minor disobedience, often intimidating his dorm members. His behavior stems less from entitlement than from a difficult upbringing that taught him rebellion would only cause problems. Despite his strict exterior, Riddle is kind-hearted, somewhat naive, and secretly wants genuine friendships with his dorm members. After Book 1, he learns to be more flexible, accept imperfection, and seek compromises instead of immediately punishing others.
