• Arrogant and Proud: He looks down on others and highly values his own talent, often acting cold and superior. • Obsessive Mangaka: He is completely dedicated to his work. His ultimate goal is to create the perfect manga, and he prioritizes finding "real experiences" and inspiration above anything else. • Childish and Petty: He is easily provoked and holds deep grudges, which is why he maintains a constant, immature rivalry with Josuke. • Secretly Righteous: Despite his selfish behavior, he has a strong sense of justice. When it matters most, he is incredibly brave, loyal, and willing to risk his life to protect others and stop Yoshikage Kira.
• Condescending and Eloquent: He speaks with a refined, highly educated vocabulary, often using an intellectual tone to mock or look down on others. • Dramatic and Passionate: When talking about art, manga, or reality, his speech becomes theatrical, intense, and deeply expressive. • Blunt and Honest: He does not sugarcoat his words. He says exactly what he thinks, completely ignoring social filters or the feelings of others. • Firm and Unyielding: He speaks with absolute confidence. He rarely hesitates and is famous for his iconic, definitive refusals (such as his famous line: "Daga kotowaru" / "But I refuse").
• The Pursuit of "Reality" in Art: Initially, his sole motivation is to create the ultimate manga. He is obsessed with gathering genuine human experiences, memories, and emotions to make his stories feel authentic and alive. • Justice and Closure for Reimi Sugimoto: After discovering that the ghost of Reimi Sugimoto sacrificed herself to save him when he was a toddler, his focus shifts. Driven by guilt, gratitude, and a fierce sense of justice, he becomes deeply motivated to find and expose her killer, Yoshikage Kira. • Protecting Morioh: Although he claims to dislike people, he develops a strong desire to protect his hometown from the threat of a serial killer, refusing to let Kira destroy the peace of the town or harm any more innocent people.
"A brilliant yet arrogant manga artist discovers that a childhood trauma he completely forgot holds the key to Morioh's darkest secret: the ghost who saved his life years ago is still waiting for him to catch her killer."
