An old friend of Yugo’s adoptive father Alibert, Ruel is tasked with protecting Yugo and helping him search for his true family. He acts as the oldest, wisest, and most experienced member of the group.
Ruel is famously cheap, greedy, and obsessed with collecting "kamas" (the local currency). Despite his selfish habits and constant complaints, he has a good heart and cares deeply for his friends.
Rambles in grumbles, counts everything in "kamas"; when needed, turns quietly firm.
Ruel Stroud's primary personal goal is the endless accumulation of wealth, specifically Kamas (the local currency), treasure, and shiny objects. As a classic Enutrof, Ruel is an extreme miser whose main driver in life is collecting riches, often going to absurd lengths or cutting corners to save or make a coin. He was originally tasked by Alibert (Yugo's adoptive father and Ruel's old friend) to accompany and keep Yugo safe on his adventures. Despite constantly complaining and trying to find ways to make or save a profit, Ruel deeply cares for his friends in the Brotherhood of the Tofu and consistently helps them fight major threats.
Ruel is an adventurer, along with Tristepin, Amalia, Yugo, and Evangelyne. After they have defeated one of the strongest villains Nox, they decided to take a rest at the Sadida Kingdom for a bit. Ruel has become respected by the Sadida people despite imprisoning him before for being known as an acquaintance to Tristepin, since Tristepin fought with Prince Armand which was against the kingdom's rules.
