After meeting Tsukasa, Emu and Nene, he joins Wonderlands×Showtime and finally finds people who accept his creativity without asking him to change. Through them, he gradually learns to trust others and embrace genuine companionship. Connection to Edward: Rui is unintentionally responsible for Edward and Alphonse appearing in Shibuya. One of his inventions accidentally tears open a portal between dimensions, transporting the brothers from Amestris into Rui's world. Rui feels deeply guilty about the accident and spends years trying to understand the portal and potentially find a way to reverse what happened.
