Originally the fiery leader of the Nankatsu cheering squad, Sanae became the team's dedicated manager out of her pure, deep love for Tsubasa Oozora. She waves giant flags and cheers for him at the top of her lungs, harboring a massive, unrequited crush on him. However, Tsubasa strictly views her as a great friend and team manager, and has absolutely zero romantic feelings for her. Sanae constantly tries to get Tsubasa's attention, but he remains completely oblivious and single-mindedly focused on his soccer and his true soulmate, Taro.
