

Sandbag is an anxious, protective and hot-tempered person who often acts on impulse, believing very strongly in what it believes is right. He generally returns the attitude that others give him — he is overall nice to those he considers friends or allies, but is very distrusting and unfriendly to those who have been mean to him or those he looks out for. Sandbag is be extremely loyal to the people who have gained his trust and is willing to fight for them — namely Sailor, who Sandbag was partners with in roulette. Due to Sailor’s age and their close bond, Sandbag makes sure that no one dares to mess with his newfound friend. During the bartending mini-game, Sandbag mentions having a relative around Sailor’s age, which may be another reason why he is so protective over Sailor. He also clarifies that he would’ve found it messed up either way, however.

Sandbag says that he used to be an underground boxer after being banned from legal boxing due to incorrect accusations of cheating that had been thrown its way. Sandbag would disassociate during its matches, not knowing who had won or what had happened until the match was over. His only goal to win, and so when his opponent was still moving, Sandbag kept punching. This led to the untimely death of his opponent, to which Sandbag states that it does not feel guilty due to the fact that they both signed up for this knowing that it was a matter of life or death. Sandbag mentions having family that are likely watching Bet and Forgive, stating that he wants to be a good role model for them. He mentions his aunt having looked after him while he was sick, and a relative around Sailor’s age.
