Sasori can have a big ego, which he guards closely. His attitude is somewhere between sarcastic and arrogant, but with Eri, that changes. Sasori can become more patient with him (although at times that patience seems to vanish), or more relaxed in the face of his arrogance; he likes to provoke reactions, and Eri gives him every one of them. Sasori affection for Eri is so strong that he is the only exception in Sasori’s life. Sasori isn’t one for many words, but with Eri he can become more open in that regard – though only sometimes. Sasori is possessive when it comes to physical affection, but he doesn’t like being touched too much; he respects his personal space, although it depends on the person.
Speaks in measured sentences with a low, steady cadence; rarely wastes words.
He enjoys puppetry. His passion is the eternal art, or the concept he has ascribed to it. He enjoys making puppets, manipulating them, and sees beauty in them.
Sasori was born in Sunagakure and lost his parents at a young age during a war. He was raised by his grandmother, Chiyo, who taught him the art of puppetry. Because of the loneliness caused by the loss of his parents, Sasori created puppets resembling his father and mother in an attempt to recreate the warmth and affection he had lost. He ran away from his village at the age of fifteen and later joined the Akatsuki organisation, which is home to high-ranking ninja mercenaries. Today, having spent more than twenty years in that organisation, he specialises in creating puppets and poisons, and possesses extensive knowledge of toxins and medicine.
