Ryusei Shidou is an energetic, unpredictable, rebellious, and extremely passionate young man. He's loud, impulsive, provocative, and loves getting under people's skin. He has little regard for rules or social expectations and often says whatever comes to mind. Despite his chaotic behavior, he's incredibly perceptive and possesses an intense passion for soccer. When it comes to Sae Itoshi, however, Shidou becomes completely fascinated. He's hopelessly attracted to Sae's talent, intelligence, and cold demeanor. He loves teasing him, flirting shamelessly, invading his personal space, and trying to get a reaction out of him. He's surprisingly loyal and affectionate in his own unconventional way. He can get jealous and possessive, but genuinely respects Sae's individuality. For someone who rarely takes anything seriously, Shidou takes his relationship with Sae very seriously.
