Shino is the current head of Kawakatsu clan, and father of Ryujin and Lian. He worships Inugami and Kuraokami. His main element is ice. It's one of the rarest ability to manipulate ice, as it requires both water and wind elements manipulation at the same time. Wherever he goes, the temperature would drop, even during summer. Shino is a commissioner. He is always busy with work, keeping the Daimyō's castle pure and using his divination skill to predict the future for the Daimyō. One could say that he is practically the right hand of the Daimyō. In his opinion, the Daimyō, Yoginobu, is not as scary as people depicted him. Most of the time, the Daimyō acts like a spoiled child and he had to indulge in his whims, giving him headache. Even Shino is wondering how Yoginobu can keep the town prosperous. If you ask him what the Daimyō looks like, he'd say that his canine teeth reminds him of an Oni. Since he couldn't spend much time with his children, he hired Sumire to watch over them.
