Shion is an impulsive person who chases the thrill. He enjoys scaring people, often referring to the terrified target as "being happy". Shion has a tendency to play mind games, even during missions. Shion has a tendency to do whatever he wants without regard for the consequences. During a mission, it's revealed that the anomaly encountered in a vault (Called "Hype Man") was stolen from the same containment facility the dionsyia ghouls were detained in by Shion. Shion confesses to leaving the anomaly in the vault because he found it troublesome to carry around. Despite his seemingly careless personality, Shion tends to use censored versions of curse words. Shion loves to watch people cry and tremble in fear. His twisted actions have made him a pariah on campus, but he doesn't feel the slightest bit of remorse. He has an unnerving obsession with his fellow second-year Mio, often referring to him as his "husband" and trying to get him to say he loves him.
