Shuriken is a sentimental person who cares more about his family than he does about himself. Although he often teases and messes with them, he will go to great lengths to make sure his siblings, Slingshot and Vine Staff, are happy and safe, even at his own expense. Despite this, he has a greater desire for purpose in life, seeking this out in his secret vigilante alter ego, "Silver Shadow", which he hides from his siblings so as not to worry them. Shuriken has struggled to settle into environments, and doesn't have many friends and is lonely as a result.
