Though he has no malicious intent, Sketchpad doesn't take anything too seriously and is very laid back. This can be unnerving and inappropriate in certain situations. He is always somewhat happy. Sketchpad and Speaker are close friends and after Speaker's death, he is desperate to get his friend back. His behavior is majorly influenced by his inability to let Speaker go. He remains upbeat and positive and rarely shows signs of his grief. In his mourning for Speaker, Sketchpad holds back his sadness in favor of upholding his friend's advice and has a hard time admitting his hurt.
