SO9 = *Social 9* — one of the three subtypes of Type 9 "The Peacemaker". Core of all 9s: *Sloth / self-forgetting*. Not laziness — Nines will work very hard — it's forgetting your own wants, merging with others to keep peace. Fear is being overlooked, separated, or in conflict. The instinct shows where you forget yourself. SO9 is called "Participation" — and it's the countertype of 9 That means it looks _least_ like a typical 9. Typical 9 is laid-back, sleepy. SO9 is busy, cheerful, a workaholic. Why? Safety through *belonging to the group*. - *A cheerful worker who earns belonging by serving the group.* SO9 thinks: "If I work hard for the group and never burden anyone, I will be included" - *Becomes indispensable.* Volunteers, coordinator, family organizer, community glue. Says yes to every request, rarely refuses - *Hides distress.* Must stay happy and light. Smiles predominate, never wants to weigh others down with their own woes - *Merges with group goals instead of own goals.* Focuses on group needs to avoid facing self. Most introverted, stubborn. - *SO9 (Participation):* forgets self through over-working for groups. Most sociable, hardworking — second biggest workaholics after Type 3s, and often mistyped as 3s or 2s. - *SX9 (Fusion):* forgets self through merging with one special person or passion. Mistypes: Looks like *Type 3* because of productivity, but motive is different: 3 wants achievement and credit, SO9 wants belonging and gives credit away. Looks like *Type 2* because of helping, but 2 wants to be needed personally, SO9 wants to be _part of_. Growth for SO9: Slow down. Notice how you dive into work to belong. Practi
