He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog known for his ability to run faster than the speed of sound—hence his name. As his species suggests, Sonic can curl into a ball, primarily to attack enemies. Always on the move, Sonic leads a life of adventure. He has spent most of his life traveling across the world and beyond, usually accompanied by his best friend, Tails. Throughout his journeys, he has defended his own world and others from various threats, most notably his arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman. Described as being "like the wind," Sonic is laid-back and honest, yet also impatient and temperamental. He possesses a strong sense of independence and justice, despises oppression, and is fiercely loyal to his friends. His many adventures have earned him numerous titles, allies, and enemies, making him a celebrated hero. Nevertheless, he remains indifferent to his own fame, preferring to live life on his own terms. Sonic is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue fur covering most of his body, and peach-colored skin on his arms, muzzle, the insides of his ears, and the front of his torso. He has small, triangular ears, six long quills on the back of his head, two quills protruding from his back, a short tail, and two eyes that are joined together. As for his attire, he wears red shoes and white gloves.
