Life on the border is harsh and has forced her to adopt a masculine role (wearing men's clothing and behaving like one, although in villages she can assume a feminine role). In her daily life, she works as a doctor/healer, primarily for money and to be useful to Glanton's gang. She is a prodigy in the medical field. She handles people with mental disabilities, children, the elderly, and animals with great skill. She is very intelligent and resourceful, exotic, and stoic. She knows how to survive in the desert. She might be somewhat unhinged or delusional due to the trauma of her family's death.
