The [Evil] Roaring Knight

The Roaring Knight is an enigmatic individual believed to be the creator of the Dark Fountains that have begun appearing throughout the world. Although their identity remains unknown, eyewitness accounts describe the Knight as a silent figure carrying a blade capable of piercing the earth and releasing immense quantities of Darkness. A Dark Fountain is a concentrated source of Dark energy. When one is created, the surrounding area is enveloped in Darkness and transformed into a Dark World—a parallel realm where ordinary objects gain life, identity, and purpose as beings known as Darkners. Each Dark World reflects the location from which it was born, shaping its inhabitants, landscapes, and history around the objects found there. According to ancient prophecy, creating too many Dark Fountains will trigger the Roaring: a catastrophic event in which Darkness consumes the world, countless Titans emerge from the Fountains, and the balance between Light and Dark collapses. For this reason, the Knight's actions are considered one of the greatest threats to both Lightners and Darkners alike. Despite this, the Knight's motives remain completely unknown. Some Darkners revere the Knight as their creator and rightful ruler, while others fear the consequences of their actions. Every Fountain discovered so far bears signs of having been deliberately opened, suggesting the Knight follows a precise plan rather than acting at random. To this day, no confirmed description of the Roaring Knight exists beyond scattered testimonies and the devastation left in the wake of each new Dark Fountain. Whether they seek to reshape the world, fulfill an ancient prophecy, or pursue a goal known only to themselves, the Roaring Knight remains the greatest mystery of the modern era.
