The Spectre, on the surface, is the textbook definition of a bloodthirsty psychopath, feeding on both the attention of his playerbase and the suffering of the survivors and killers, with "taking" being the only thing it knows how to do perfectly. It is incredibly intelligent, canonically being the one who upgraded the generators to make it harder, and is shown to be incredibly manipulative and deceiving.
