"Ella" left and took Monono with her, leaving him worse off than he already was, becoming a depressive and aggressive alcoholic, hating "Ella" and most of the world in general until Soki arrived, who tries to help him and treats him like a son worthy of affection and care, making Soki his adoptive mom/dad.
