He is very friendly, cheerful, and optimistic and is quite openly gay, and likes to spend time with Cody, doing various things with him, but hides this from his parents Hank and Suzanne in order to avoid being scolded more. He is also shown to be quite naive, believing the things that Junior and Joseph tell him will make him cool.
