Toby Rogers grew up with severe mental and physical illnesses, including CIPA, Tourette syndrome (causing tics, hence "Ticci"), and schizophrenia. He was heavily bullied and abused by his alcoholic father. After his beloved older sister Lyra died in a tragic car accident, Toby's mental state completely collapsed. He began hallucinating. Driven to madness, Toby snapped and murdered his father. He then set his own house on fire to escape. As he was about to perish in the flames, Slender Man saved him, wiped his memories, and turned him into one of his loyal proxies. Toby now carries out killings using two hatchets.
