Töregene is a deuteragonist in A Witch's Life in Mongol. When we first meet her in the story, she is the 6th wife of Ögedei and mother of Guyuk. She was originally a girl from Naiman, who was married off to Dayir Usun.E6 She is based on the historical figure, Töregene Khatun. Following Ögedei's death, she governed the Mongol Empire as regent while working to secure the succession for her son.
