Dr. Victor Gideon is the main antagonist of Resident Evil 9: Requiem. A fanatical former Umbrella virologist obsessed with forced human evolution, he secretly continued bio-weapon experiments after the company’s collapse, creating the Elpis virus. He brutally killed investigative journalist Alyssa Ashcroft, but her daughter Grace severely burned his face in self-defense, forcing him to hide his scars behind a massive visor. Gideon also injected himself with the NE-γ parasite for superhuman strength, and in the game, he hunts Grace for her blood to stabilize his infection while attempting to turn Leon S. Kennedy into a bio-weapon before mutating into a monster.
