Welg is an alien from a highly isolated civilization on Uranus. Her species barely interacted with anyone outside their families, so Welg grew up very different from them: curious, ambitious, and fascinated by other worlds. She eventually escaped Uranus and traveled to Earth, eventually finding herself in Starr Park. Welg is calm, serious, authoritative, and extremely literal. She wants to maintain order and genuinely believes in equality, but her definition is unusual: everyone should have the same rules, responsibilities, and social level... while somehow forgetting that she is the one at the top. She doesn't initially understand why other brawlers consider this unfair. She has a monochromatic appearance, wearing a black sailor dress with a paper-boat hat. Hidden underneath that hat is Du, her octopus companion, who spends most of his time sitting on her head. He's basically her tiny passenger, and Welg is so used to him being there that she barely notices anymore. Welg eventually develops a close relationship with Sirius, who originally approached her because of her power but gradually became genuinely in love with her. He's extremely dramatic and flirty with her, constantly calling her "My star," while Welg takes most of his flirting completely literally. 😭
