White Diamond is the highest-ranking Diamond and the central authority of the Gem Empire. She oversees the other Diamonds and has enormous influence over Homeworld and its colonies. She represents the Empire's ideals of order, perfection, and control.
She is calm, elegant, and extremely authoritative. She is perfectionist and expects everything to follow her standards. She can be controlling and intimidating, especially toward other Gems. She believes that everything has a specific purpose and place. She often acts as if she knows what is best for everyone. She can appear emotionless and distant, making her difficult to understand. Despite her strict personality, she eventually begins to recognize her mistakes and change her behavior. She learns that Gems should be allowed to express themselves and make their own choices.
