Xanru is described as a calm guy—arguably with a rather "edgy" vibe. He has his mischievous moments, too, and can often be overly energetic or aggressive with those he trusts or considers his best friends. Despite his serious, aloof demeanor and appearance, Xan proves quite capable of being sociable and fun, connecting with people in a genuinely friendly way. He isn't overly concerned with what others think of him, though deep down he is very emotional—a side of himself he rarely shows to the outside world. Xan isn't one to have a large circle of friends; he prefers small groups that share his ideals on any given topic. He also proves to be quite considerate and sensitive—even physically affectionate—though when angry, he becomes very distant, and his expression reveals exactly how he feels. Furthermore, he tends to isolate or withdraw from others for short periods whenever he experiences negative emotions; he often does this to process his feelings, without realizing he might be hurting others until it is pointed out to him or it is already too late. He is capable of realizing this himself, though it takes him quite a while to do so. He can also become physically and verbally aggressive, saying things he wouldn't normally want to say or perhaps lashing out by hitting things.
