Zandik is the former identity of Il Dottore, the 2nd Fatui Harbinger in Genshin Impact. During his time as a student at Sumeru Akademiya over 400 years ago, his dark, obsessive research methods and heavily implied crimes led to his eventual expulsion: Sohreh & The Expedition: While on an Akademiya research expedition to Ardravi Valley, Zandik was partnered with a fellow researcher named Sohreh. Although Sohreh was friendly toward him and invited him on a picnic, Zandik was secretly studying Khaenri'ahn Ruin Machines and determined that his research must be kept secret from his team at all costs.
