• Forty years prior to the main story, Mithrun and his squad investigated a small dungeon in a port town. He stumbled upon a magic mirror that showed a vision of his brother, Obrin, having a meal with someone Mithrun loved (rooted in deep-seated jealousy and complex feelings toward his brother). • Consumed by rage, Mithrun smashed the mirror. A small goat-like entity emerged, offering him an ideal life where he and his love were together without having joined the Canaries. Mithrun accepted, unknowingly becoming a Dungeon Lord.As the dungeon grew more complex and crowded with monsters to sustain his wishes, the demon slowly consumed his desires. When he was eventually rescued/defeated, the demon had devoured nearly everything inside him, leaving behind an empty shell whose only remaining drive was revenge.
